I like the Wii version since it has some of the older courses, but nothing has beaten the N64 version.

Really? You should try sometime. I have the Wii version, which does have the good N64 courses, cool wheels, really cool cars and bikes, you can play as your mii, and you can help me race people on wi-fi because its two player! However, you guys need to come over some time.

Thats true. However, I don't think I'm able to unlock anything else for some reason, but I still have all characters and thats all that matters. Now, back on topic.

On topic, Does the wii have baloon battle and shine runners.

You bet they do. However I don't play them because they are hard trying to control the bike or car on such small courses. Plus, the computers are actually smart.

The DS version is the best.
A) Great, PORTABLE, multiplayer. We play it at band whenever were on the bus.
B) Fun racing and battles even if you're alone.

A retro cup according to the ds version is the cup that has no new tracks but alot of old ones, they are below the new cups and we played on them a bit. Examples include Bowsers castle 64 and Snes Mario curcuit 3. There, i explained it.

I beat the 150 Special Nitro Cup in the DS version, now i just have to beagt the retro cups, those are hard on the last mode, there are no places for the opponets to mess up!

I just unlocked the mirror cups so I'm going to try them soon because they have good cars to unlock!  Plus, I'm better when my Mii is a big character, better cars and bikes, and when I'm hit by blue shells I stay closer to the ground. Easier to get going again that way.

I need to beat my retro's to unlock mirror. And i will always use classic dragster.

Sucker. I was screwing around earlier on wi-fi with these guys named psycho and unnormal, and it was fun blowing every single racer up! Plus I wouldn't get hurt by them if I raced on ahead to chase someone.(It took a while to gain their trust)

Collect the shine sprites and wait till the timer runs out, all tying for last are eliminated and it keeps going till the winner is decided, hit a foe so they'll drop their shine.
