Spirit Pressure gives the characters in the anime the ability to use really cool moves, like the one captain can make his blade longer, and gives him wings, and the ability to use the powers of the Ice dragon. Which is his blades true form, or Bankai.

You know anyone can give tips here......
A: Don't go for the same target over and over again. It never works!
B: Make sure your Blade is as light as possible to make it easier to attack
and defend. Trust me- and mainly Freeze- it really helps alot! 
C: Don't swing for or close to someones head. It won't come off, but it
will hurt like hell.

C.) It damn hurts alright, especially when you are hit by 2 at the same itme.
